You have just found out about your cheating spouse and called it quits.  If both of your have decided to go no different paths, that is the end of that relationship.  When the cheating spouse leaves, you may be wondering what to do and what’s next.  Are there things you have to do and you should not do?

Well, you move on.  Sure, that's a lot easier said than done.  A great deal of your life was just spend with this person.  They very well could have been the love of your life.  You feel terrible from this total sense of loss.  How do you move on?

It is natural to take some time after the end of the relationship. You are going to need a little time to heal. During that healing process though, you cannot shut down. You have to lay the groundwork on getting to the next stage of your life and the first part of that is getting your ex-spouse out of your life. You need to get everything in that house that reminds you of them out so you don't have a daily reminder of them smacking you in the face each and every day. This is obviously much tougher if you have children, but you can still remove the physical aspect of them from the house.

After taking this time, you need to get yourself back out there.  You deserve to be happy, not alone for the rest of your life.  The other person is the one who screwed up and you shouldn't be punished because of this.  It's important to start meeting people again and taking your time.  If you start to see signs that make you uncomfortable, forget that person and move on.  Good, decent people do exist.  You just may have to look a little to find them.  It may take a while, but you will eventually find someone who will make you question what you were ever doing with your ex in the first place.

Putting your life back together after a break up is never easy. It takes a lot of work and determination, but the bottom line is that you have to move on. You have to live and enjoy your life. If you don't, you are just giving the cheating spouse the satisfaction of knowing that they ruined your forever. Nobody ever deserves to have that hanging over their heads. Find happiness and put the cheater behind you. I hope now you know what to do when the cheating spouse leaves.
